We were appointed to provide project management services for the refurbishment of the sports hall floor at the YMCA Sports and Leisure Centre, Thornton. The scope of works comprised the full removal and excavation of the existing floor construction, formation of a new in-situ reinforced concrete slab, installation of new structural anchor points to accommodate sports equipment, and the provision of a specialist sports vinyl floor finish suitable for multi-use sporting and training activities.
The project included management of the competitive tender process, following which William Pye Limited were appointed as the principal contractor, with Banks Flooring Solutions Ltd engaged to undertake the specialist flooring installation.
